We have an issue with the running SQL Server that used to host the database that example connects to. The example and Ext.NET themselves are correct, just the database credentials are no longer accepted. You may be able to run the example locally if you self-host a SQL Server instance with
the Northwind SQL Server Sample database.
We are still sorting out what best we can do to solve this problem for the long term, but currently, the online examples making SQL Server connection would be presenting this exception.
By one hand we could switch for local engines like SQLite and have it work regardless of a running DBMS, by the other hand, they are examples that actually highlight how SQL Server connection is made. So basically the decision should go around this dilemma.
