Saving data in master detail form

Hi,

Can you share/show an example how we can save a data on a master detail form. Like, i have couple of text boxes (header section) and a grid (detail). On clicking save i want to save these two into different tables. Grid is bound to store viz object data soruce to display records. I want to do this using an ajax event / ajax method ?
