If your first column of the grid is a hidden one then the auto-resizing of the filter fields does not happen when you make a column larger/smaller

Add this column as the first column in the grid in this sample https://examples1.ext.net/#/GridPane...Header/Filter/ and you will see the filter fields no longer auto fit to the column widths when changed.

I can't reproduce it. Please update from SVN because we fixed recently several bugs related with Hidden columns

I can reproduce using 0.8.1.

I'm unable to update from that version at the moment so I'll assume it's fixed in the latest version as you cant reproduce .
