[CLOSED] non-editable combobox item selection by pressing key
Hello:
Is it possible to make a non-editable combobox select the first item in the list that begins with the pressed key, much like the standard html select component? To see exactly what I mean, take a look at the subscription combobox on the edit post page on this very forum. If you press for instance D, it will move the selection to 'Do not subscribe'. If you press D again the selection will move to 'Daily using email'.
I use a non-editable combobox for small lists and it would be nice if the user was able to press a key and the combobox would move the list selection to the first item that begins with that key. A subsequent key press of the same key would move onto the next item that begins with that key. I know there are other options like forceSelection and typeAhead but there is some stuff that doesn't work quite right in those cases in my specific scenario.
Thanks
