I need to show a custom icon on a button. My question: how can I assign a png-Image as Icon on this button ?

and one general question about the Neptune Theme...
The Theme looks for me a bit like the windows 8 metro style (like this one a lot). But using the 'normal' FamFam Icon's isn't really the best :-)
Do you see a general way to have a 'personal' Image Library ? I use Axialis Icon in my other projects and it would be great to have the same comfort using this Icon as 'standard' in mark up...

Any hints about this :-)

You can use a custom icon using a Button's IconCls (a CSS class) or IconUrl properties.
