How to show ToolTip only for row in GridPanel?

I want to only display tooltips if the user is hovering over a row in the gridpanel and I want it to disappear if they hover over any whitespace in grid. But the ToolTips property of the GridPanel seems to show anywhere in the grid. I also need to get the curent row data so I can dynamically set the Html in the tooltip. Thanks.

How do you have the GridPanel configured. Can you post a simplified .aspx code sample as a starting point.*
