[CLOSED] GridPanel: Header rows above the standard grid header row

    [CLOSED] GridPanel: Header rows above the standard grid header row

    I need to be able to show additional header row above the standard grid header row.

    Two questions:

    1) Is this possible at all now and if not, how difficult it is to extend Coolite GridView to allow it?
    2) How can we span HeaderRow column*over two or more standard header columns?

    thanks

    RE: [CLOSED] GridPanel: Header rows above the standard grid header row

    Hi ssg,

    There's an example in the SVN examples explorer that should help with the multi row column header, see*/Examples/GridPanel/MultiHeader/Filter/Default.aspx

    I don't think it's possible, at least with built in functionality, to merge two header columns into one.*

    I really need this. Can you point me to what piece of code I need to modify/play with to try to make it work.

    Thanks

    RE: [CLOSED] GridPanel: Header rows above the standard grid header row

    How about using a <Renderer> to merge the data from two columns into one? It's kind of the reverse of what you described, but the end result may look/function the same.

    The following sample demonstrates a simple <Renderer> which does a merge.

    Example

    <%@ Page Language="C#" %>

    <%@ Register Assembly="Coolite.Ext.Web" Namespace="Coolite.Ext.Web" TagPrefix="ext" %>
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"
        "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

    <script runat="server">

        {
            if (!Ext.IsAjaxRequest)
            {
                this.Store1.DataSource = new object[]
                {

    Hi ssg,

    Nope, I don't think that kind of configuration is possible, but I will discuss with Vladimir tomorrow to confirm.

    Hi,

    There is client side plugin. Please see the following post

    http://forums.ext.net/showthread.php?1636

    We have no server-side functionality but we will consider to include it to 0.9 version*

    Hi,

    For me it works fine. Did you notice that example using*ScriptContainer and include scripts after ScriptContainer? Did you do the same?**

    RE: [CLOSED] GridPanel: Header rows above the standard grid header row

    *If I move this line:

    <script src="GroupHeaderPlugin.js" type="text/javascript"></script>*
    from <head> to <body>*it works.

    If I move...

    <script src="GroupHeaderPlugin.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
    ...back in <head> it does not work.

    I guess you can mark this one as 'solved'.

    Thank you very much for your help
