html tags in textfields

as posted in the forum topic link provided above, if i have a textfield then i entered a html code there, or in my case i entered <script></script>, how can i prevent the error "potentially dangerous request" without turning off the pagevalidation (validaterequest=false) because if the html code gets passed to the DB and returned then a display error will also show up. meaning how can i prevent user from entering html code in coolite textfields
