Let's not forget that the call to reset the ComboBox doesn't actually restore the EmptyText string in the frame scenario. The ComboBox field remains blank albeit focused and that's probably not what you'd expect. As far as end user is concerned, the experience should be transparent in the sense that both scenarios should ideally exhibit the same behavior.

I should clarify that I totally agree that it is an issue and something which a developer might be in trouble with. But again, this behavior comes from how a parent-iframe stuff deals with focus. As Evan stated, we do not see a generic way to solve this issue. Bluring a ComboBox within the reset method looks to be a hack. Personally, I am reluctant to add it to SVN. I am interested in Evan's opinion.
