I know this has been asked before, but I wanted to see if there was anything new with this.

Is it currently possible to drag/drop files from a surface outside of the web application (i.e. Desktop) onto the Upload Control? If not, are there any future plans to implement this feature?

No, it is not possible currently and we have no plans to include it because it is HTML5 functionality (not supported by IE)

This functionality is now supported in IE 10. All major browsers except Opera support this functionality within HTML5. Can you PLEASE let me know how I can accomplish this within the EXT framework. This is something I need very bad.

Currently, Ext.NET v1 doesn't support IE10. Also I doubt we will add such support for a FileUploadField in v1.

Though it is something we could consider for v2.

For Ext.NET v1 you could try an extension that you mentioned here.
