    I can't see a good possibility to have a DatePicker without any selected date.

    Personally, I would consider it a bug and reported it to Sencha.

    They have opened a feature ticket.

    Could you wait when it will be implemented or do you need some workaround for now? If you need, I could think about that. Though not sure there is a good workaround.

    Good. I will monitor the Sencha thread.

    Please feel free to bump the current thread if you will need assistance on that before Sencha will implement it.

    We created an Issue "DatePicker enhancements".

    No guarantee, but we hope to implement something it the future.
