    Ext.NET 2.0 Developer Preview Release

We're thrilled to make available the Ext.NET Pro v2.0 Developer Preview 1 release.

Currently the DP1 release is available to Ext.NET Premium Support Subscription members with valid SVN credentials.

A packaged .zip of the Ext.NET v2.0 project and Examples Explorer can be downloaded from the following location:

    http://svn.ext.net/premium/tags/2.0.....2.0.0.DP1.zip

You will be prompted to supply your existing SVN Premium Support Subscription credentials for authentication.

If you are a Premium Member, but have lost credentials, please email support@object.net with your forum username and we'll send back your SVN username + password.

The full source for both projects can be downloaded from the SVN source code repository by SVN Updating from the following location:

    http://svn.ext.net/premium/tags/2.0.0DP1/

Once downloaded, please double-click either Ext.Net.2008.sln (Visual Studio 2008) or Ext.Net.2010.sln (Visual Studio 2010) to open Solution. You can then compile and run the Examples Explorer application locally.

There are breaking changes if upgrading from an Ext.NET v1.x (or earlier) project, so reviewing the CHANGELOG.txt is highly recommended, see

    http://examples2.ext.net/#/Getting_S...nts/CHANGELOG/

Technical support questions, comments and feedback related to v2 should be posted in either the 2.x Premium Help or 2.x Help forums.

The new Examples Explorer v2 is available to view online at http://examples2.ext.net/.

    Hope this helps.

We are having issues at the office downloading the zip file. It is hanging after retrieving 8.6 MB of the 31 MB file. I have tried from my client workstation which must go through a McAfee Web Gateway and from a backend server which is outside the gateway and both are hanging.

Do you know if anyone has had success.

I have downloaded the source, but it won't compile. type or namespace WebPages does not exist in System.Web

Looks like they are all contained in AbstractComponetBuilder.cs

I was just able to download the entire file without issue, although I'll send you an email with an alternative download location. I just need a few minutes to setup.

Please clarify what Visual Studio do you build with?

    1. I have downloaded via SVN fine.

    2. I encountered the System.Web.WebPages references error. I had to download and install MVC3.

    3. (2) may cause issues for me because my project is MVC1 and cannot be upgraded to MVC2/3 at current. I presume the strict tie-in is because of the MVC helpers/razor view engine integration?

+1, I had no issues as well.

By the way, @cwolcott, could you clarify the Examples Explorer now works in IE7 and IE8 correctly?
