[CLOSED] Drag file to upload control

can you drag a file from desktop to an ext.net upload control? Sencha has this functionality, but I was not sure if ext.net has the same

Can you provide a link to the Sencha sample you reference?

This is not exactly a sencha sample, but it is using sencha controls. http://jsjoy.com/blog/ext-js-extension-awesome-uploader

We are using this sample in one of our other projects. Unfortunately it only works in Chrome and FF. We just started using it, but so far it is working well.

    Hi,

It's a really cool feature to drag a file from a desktop to a browser to upload.

As well it appears to be a cool extension and, unfortunately, we have no such built-in feature.

Unfortunately it only works in Chrome and FF.
    Confirmed.

As well there is no possibility in IE to drag a file from a file chooser window to a grid.

I guess these things are just missed in the IE API. Though I'm not 100% sure, because I see "dragging effects" in IE.

I will try to check it should work in IE or not and, if yes, why it doesn't work.

I will need one or more days to investigate it, because, to be honest, I have no experience with drag&drop on a browser level.

Thanks for the pointing out such functionality.

I've found the following detailed article:

Yes, it appears that IE9 doesn't support it.

This looks VERY promising! Thanks for the reference
