    Ext.Net Licences

    Dear Support Team,

We have some question, can you please clarify........

    1. What is the difference between Community Vs Professional Licence......

    2. Is there any functional difference between these two licences....

    3. Can we use Community Licence while developing the product & when there is time to release the product at that time we buy professional licence. only to cut the cost of development.

    4. Can we use the published code with the community licences.

    5. We have the option to download the profesional licence as Community licence can, without any restriction then the downloaded professional dlls are working for trial period like 45 days or Paid means fees for support only not for product...

    1. What is the difference between Community Vs Professional Licence......
The differences are listed on the following page. The info-graphic decision tree should help decide which license is appropriate for your project.

    http://www.ext.net/license/

    http://www.ext.net/store/#qa

    2. Is there any functional difference between these two licences....
No. From the download (http://www.ext.net/download) page...

The only difference is the license.
The source code is identical for both Pro and Community editions. Both include the exact same features and functionality, and only differ in their license.

    3. Can we use Community Licence while developing the product and when there is time to release the product at that time we buy professional licence. only to cut the cost of development.
We'd prefer not. The Ext.NET Pro license will work unrestricted if used on a Development machine.

If you prefer to wait to purchase an Ext.NET Pro license key, that is not a problem. You can develop without a license key, then purchase when ready.

    4. Can we use the published code with the community licences.
I'm assuming you mean the code samples from the Examples Explorer (https://examples2.ext.net/) and forums? If yes, then yes you are free to use all sample code published by Ext.NET with your Community or Pro license.

We release the sample code under the MIT license (http://www.opensource.org/licenses/mit-license.php).

    5. We have the option to download the profesional licence as Community licence can, without any restriction then the downloaded professional dlls are working for trial period like 45 days or Paid means fees for support only not for product...
There is no trial expiry for Ext.NET Pro. The product will work unrestricted on Development machines. Once the .dll's are moved to a non-dev machine/server, an "Unlicensed" message will be rendered. To remove the "Unlicensed" message, an Ext.NET Pro License Key is required.

Hope this helps answer your questions.

What is the cost for redistributing

    Dear Support Team,

What we had the final solution ready with Ext.Net and want to give to the end-customer then what will be the licence cost for customer for runtime...
    means

When we are giving Ext.Net Dlls bundled with the software for runtime support to the customer as a final solution then is there any cost we have to pay for every customer.
