Better performance: XRender or explicit Markup?

What forms has the best performance? XRender or explicit Markup?
And why using XRender instead Markup?

I think markup is the default approach to create pages since its straight forward and easy to see changes results while Xrender should be used for on-demand widgets/dynamic controls which usually no project fully consist of that, they just play partial role in full project. so it's much easier for developers to work with markup [production factor].

also markup provide best way to make large dynamic controls by setting source formatting = true in the resource manager a one can easily see the extjs script, it can be seen as extjs code generator.
