How to stop/Prevent page refresh when clicking on Menuitem in accordian menupanel in Master page.

Hi,
If possible, Please reply to this thread at the earliest as i am struggling and stucked up .
I am using master page and content page concept. In master page i have accordian menu panel. If click on the menu items in the accordian menu panel it should go the content page with out refreshing the whole page. In my case it is redirecting to the content page but the whole page is refreshing and the selected menu item is not maintaining state.


Please give me an idea to resolve this problem.....
