Help reading back data on a page

Hi,
I am new to coolite. We are using version0.8 and Asp.Net

I have a form whose fields have a parent child relationship in terms of the database.

I have 4 text fields that form the header data for an Entity and need a grid that saves the line item details.

How do I retrieve values from these Textfields as well as data from the Grid (store to be precise) and use it o perform further validations/logic on the server side.
