Recently we have bought a license for EXT.NET Pro Bundle and we are experimenting some problems of efficiency with the EXT.NET components running in Internet Explorer.

We have an internal website with ASP.net C# code and we use the EXT.NET Framework components.

We have tested the application with different web browsers:
Google Chrome: the rendering efficiency and data loading is very good and fast. There is a great difference between IE and Google Chrome.
Firefox: as Google Chrome, the rendering efficiency and data loading is very good and fast. There is a big difference bertween IE and Firefox.
Internet Explorer (versions 8, 9, 10 and 11): the control rendering is very slow. Data loading of gridpanel, textfields, etc? is faster, but very slow when drawing controls. No matter the number of records that we are loading, it always takes more than 10 seconds.

We have noticed as well that on the ext.net web site (http://examples.ext.net) the rendering of these components is also very slow using Internet Explorer.

In conclusion, we use Internet Explorer and we need to improve the efficiency of our application running with EXT.NET.

IE always was famous by own slow javascript engine, especially old IE versions. So, do not expect the performance on Chrome level because Ext.Net is based on ExtJS javascript framework (which uses javascript very extensively)

Internet Explorer (versions 8, 9, 10 and 11): the control rendering is very slow. Data loading of gridpanel, textfields, etc? is faster, but very slow when drawing controls. No matter the number of records that we are loading, it always takes more than 10 seconds.

How we can reproduce it? I mean 10 sec loading page? 10 sec includes net time for loading resources or just client side rendering?

We have noticed as well that on the ext.net web site (http://examples.ext.net (http://examples2.ext.net/)) the rendering of these components is also very slow using Internet Explorer.

Can you point on the page which has big difference of time rendering in IE and Chrome? What time of difference for you between IE and Crome?

Hi @extnetGA,

Welcome to the Ext.NET forums!

As for IE8 and IE9, yes, I often see problems with performance comparing with Chrome and Firefox.

As for IE10 and IE11 I find them much better in performance comparing with previous versions of IE. As far as I can see it is now quite comparable with Chrome and Firefox. Yes, sometimes Chrome and Firefox are better, but sometimes I face that IE10 or 11 behave even better than Chrome or FireFox in some scenarios.

There is a few topics with some general advices how to optimize an application.

It might be worth to read these threads and try something with your application.

Though, the best benefit from our support you can get if provide us with a test case to reproduce the problem. I understand it might be difficult to provide such a test case, but it will allow us to comprehend the problem as much as we can.
