Hello,

The GridPanel RowExpander is no longer working out of SVN:

http://sandbox.ext.net/GridPanel/Grid3%20Example/Default.aspx - works on Sandbox

We need special configuration for this function to operate?

Cheers,
Timothy

Hi,
Can you put the source of above example on the example page? I am not getting how do I use row expander.

Can you also could put the source of UX plugins that you have made for grid filter and source of other gridpanel examples on their respective pages. It will really help to move on with our project, with grid panel availability. I am using pre preview.

Thanks,

Amit Pareek

Hello amitpareek,

Here is an example of how I'm using the GridPanel RowExpander plugin:

<ExtJS:Store ID="Store1" runat="server" AutoLoad="True">
<Reader>
<ExtJS:JsonReader>
<Fields>
<ExtJS:RecordField Name="CustomerId" Type="Auto" />
<ExtJS:RecordField Name="Name" />
<ExtJS:RecordField Name="Description" />
</Fields>
</ExtJS:JsonReader>
</Reader>
</ExtJS:Store>
<ExtJS:GridPanel ID="dgCustomers" runat="server" StoreID="Store1">
<ColumnModel>
<Columns>
<ExtJS:Column ColumnID="Name" DataIndex="Name" Header="Name" Hideable="False" Sortable="True" />
</Columns>
</ColumnModel>
<View>
<ExtJS:GridView runat="server" EnableRowBody="True" ForceFit="True" />
</View>
<SelModel>
<ExtJS:RowSelectionModel runat="server" SingleSelect="True" />
</SelModel>
<Plugins>
<ExtJS:RowExpander runat="server">
<Template runat="server">
{Description}
</Template>
</ExtJS:RowExpander>
</Plugins>
</ExtJS:GridPanel>

Hope this helps :)

Cheers,
Timothy

Hey,
Thanks. Actually, this is not what I was looking for.

Could you give me an example on how to set the template? What I need to do is, on expand of row, I wanna show the data from another table, which is linked to the primary table.

For eg: in Table1 I have Employee Nos, Name, Surname, etc.
in Table 2 I have Employees Salary, HRA, DRA, etc

What I need to do is, on row expand, I need to show the data of Table 2 in the Template in a specified format based on which employee is selected.

1) Designing the Template.

2) Getting data for the template.

Please Help,

Thanks,

Timothy

I don't believe that is possible; but would be totally awesome! Perhaps vlad or Geoffrey can comment on that scenario.

Timothy

I should be able to do the 2nd point. Have something in mind. Lemme try.

Can you guide me on designing the template? Can this template have panels, textboxes and labels?

Was wondering if I could have a small form on row expand?

Thanks,
