Hi,

I am building a dynamic screen builder using ext.net and during the course of investigating properties - I have seen a property called "IsDynamic" which is i a boolean value

The question is what is this property, what does setting it to true mean ?

Also is there reference documentation that you have that documents the properties and methods (an sdk reference) the ext.net reference guide (http://docs.ext.net/) seems outdated and is missing things - like isDynamic and metaconfig etc

Thanks

Mac

This property should be used if you add controls dynamically and experience JavaScript errors. This post shows a case and more details: http://forums.ext.net/showthread.php?23347&p=101910&viewfull=1#post101910

Yes, we are working on new version. Hopefully will have it soon.

Hi everybody,

Initially, the IsDynamic property was protected and was not supposed to be used a developer.

Then we faced when it might be useful to have it public. To overcome the "dynamic Checkbox/Radio LoadPostData" issue:
http://forums.ext.net/showthread.php?24621

As far as I can remember it is the only (at least, known) case when the IsDynamic property is supposed to be used by a developer. In other cases it should not be used.

Well, the thread mentioned by @Baidaly demonstrates another case, I would rather consider it as a hack in that scenario.
