View Full Version : [CLOSED] Render a panel with layout:'form'

I know FormPanel will not be available in v0.6 . However, is there a simple way to just change the layout of a regular panel to form instead of the default? As far as I know, the layout must be specified as part of the config when the panel is created on the clientside. Is there a way to change it after panel is created? I dont need the Submit and Load functionality of a FormPanel...just the form layout =P .

Ok, I added the <ext:FormLayout> control to the v0.6 release. Seems to work really well, although I've only completed limited initial testing.

The following sample demonstrates a very simple use of the <ext:FormLayout> control to build a Login Form and submit to the server using the new <AjaxEvents>, see http://examples1.ext.net/#/Layout/FormLayout/Login/

There's a little client-side validation thrown in there as well. Once the <ext:FormPanel> is complete, there will be much better support for client-side and server-side validation using the ExtJS native validation scheme.
