Can I render a mask during a menuItem click that is configured to call a listener function? The action is taking a little longer then I want.

It is easy for DirectEvents.

<ext:MenuItem runat="server" Text="Client" Icon="Computer">
<Listeners>
<Click Fn="filloutDefaults" />
</Listeners>
</ext:MenuItem>
<ext:MenuItem runat="server" Text="Server" Icon="Server">
<DirectEvents>
<Click onEvent="FilloutDefaults" >
<EventMask Msg="Assigning values ..." ShowMask="true" />
</Click>
</DirectEvents>
</ext:MenuItem>

Sorry about that, I found the answer. Didn't search long enough.

Ext.net.Mask.show({ el: App.RequestData.body, msg: "Assigning values ..."});

... Assign values ...

Ext.net.Mask.hide();

I changed my hide so that a mask showed for atleast a little bit.

Ext.defer(Ext.net.Mask.hide, 500);
